Camooweal Billabong

A quiet day at the billabong camp - R painting while M is writing a poem, watching the activities and talking with camping neighbours. We are moving on tomorrow, crossing into the NT.
Here are a couple of photos:
So many birds -these are corellas
A mob of horses came down to drink  (and eat some of the water lillies). There were cattle came in too,but these were on our side. We kept clear of those!
It was nice in the sun, but very windy (hence the makeshift shelter)

  2. What a great photo of Poppy and Grandma there! I agree with Kenneth - and why wait? I think it's high time we saw some of the products of this trip. Let's see some photos of sketches/paintings please, and read one of Grandma's poems!

I showed this to Greg the picture framer today when I was in his shop - he was green with envy and reckoned it looked like you were having a great time. He is stocking up on framing materials for all the masterpieces that you will bring home!
